PREFACE
I welcome DR ASHOK KUMAR MOHANTY'S new book titled 'FIRST STEP: homoeopathic book on “Applied Mind”'.
Dr Mohanty has been conducting seminars and workshops in various parts of India since last about 8 years, on this Promisalone (Prescribing on Mind Symptoms alone). The term Promisalone is coined by Dr HL Chitkara.
During these sessions Dr Mohanty found that there is an urgent need of a book, which gives complete information about this system like case-taking, rubrics, repertorizing, and metaphorical meaning. He also narrates about his struggles, leading to failures, but persisted with efforts because he believed this is perfect system and must learn it.
The style of writing is RACY, easy to understand. In fact, when I received this manuscript, I could not control myself and went through all of it in 90 minutes and then again second time to get into details of some parts; it was quite fascinated by a case of increased Thyroid profile cured with a single dose of Calcarea fluorica. If one goes through this case minutely, it covers all the ingredient of a successful art of case taking.
This book will be extremely helpful to those students and practitioner, working on PROMISALONE and will help them in their clinical practice.

ReplyDeleteanother book by dr narendra gupta called "some rubrics n words explained" is good enough as its first part explains some rubrics...bt latter part is bit disappointing as in meaning of word could easily b found out in dictionary ........it is my humble request to the author that v neophytes would like to study rubrics, which have maximum practical utility, wth their metaphorical meaning n common versions......it would b great help if u could help us out wth that.....thank you.......
